The Bearspaw Lions have been running this market every summer since 1992 to raise money for a variety of local charities and to improve the Club facilities for public use. The market grows to over 110 vendors as summer produce is harvested and available from the farms. The Bearspaw Lions are a group of caring people from Bearspaw and adjacent Calgary communities. Being a Lion is about leading by example, building relationships, and improving the world through kindness and generosity. We are part of 1.4 million members worldwide serving together so they can make a lasting impact and change the lives of those in need. Volunteerism is a terrific source of pride and self-development. We always need volunteers to help run our market. See a member when you visit. Other projects run throughout the year. Why not come to a Club meeting? The market has typically 2500 visitors each Sunday, reaching as high as 4000 on our busiest days.
Each year we add several new vendors as we expand the market and try to keep our market as diverse as possible.
We currently only have openings for Day Vendors to replace random cancelations. For new vendors, your first step is to complete the application form so your product can be approved. We will then make any openings available to you. The cost of our market is $50 per stall each Sunday.
